Cafe and Common Room

New Zealand School of Dance students spend a lot of time at the School, so it’s important to have an area for relaxing and eating.

The student common room is equipped with comfortable seating and dining areas, a number of computer terminals and wireless internet access. Students are provided with free tea and coffee and have their own kitchen with fridge, microwaves and dishwashers.

On-site cafe Great Aunt Jo's is situated next to the common room and provides an array of healthy food including vegetarian and gluten free choices. The cafe is open from 9am to 3pm every weekday serving hot dishes, soups, sandwiches, fruit, sushi, nuts, muesli and yogurt, scones, pizza, quiche, cakes and great coffee.

The student common room facilities are shared with students from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School. As well as a place for the students to unwind the common room is sometimes used for rehearsals, cabaret shows and other improvised projects.
