This was an initmate experience watching Lisa-Maree coach some of the classical majors, followed by a Q&A, with NZSD classical tutor Nadine Tyson interviewing Lisa-Maree on her enviable career.
New Zealand Born Lisa-Maree Cullum received her ballet training in Australia, and at the prestigious Academie de danse Princesse Grace in Monaco on a Prix de Lausanne scholarship. She began her professional career in 1990, at the age of 18, with the English National Ballet. The following year, she was invited to join the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Germany, dancing the lead role in Schaufuss’ Giselle and being promoted to principal dancer. She went on to a principal contract with the Bayerische Staatsballett in Münich, Germany, where she is still under contract.
Lisa-Maree has made international guest appearances with The Kirov Ballet, the Royal Dänish Ballet, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Teatro dell´Opera di Roma, Queensland Ballet, Imperial Ballet Moscow, The Royal Swedish Ballet, Teatro alla Scala, and gala performances throughout Europe.
