Contemporary Intensive Programme – Christchurch

The Christchurch CIP – Saturday 14 September @ Visionary Dance Studio – 9am – 4pm
Cost: $150.00 – Includes one ticket to the NZSD Dance Film night on Wednesday 11 September.
For dancers aged 15 – 18 years, with a sound knowledge of contemporary dance and interest in dance as a career. The contemporary intensive programme is for dancers who wish to:
- Establish a solid technical foundation
- Learn key aspects of the contemporary discipline, such as improvisation, contact, partnering and composition
- Learn from tertiary tutors to gain insight into NZSD’s unique contemporary dance training
- Deepen your understanding of the industry and discover the requirements for full-time training
The programme runs over a full day, and the members of the New Zealand School of Dance faculty teach all elements of the programme.
- Focus on choreography for Pacific Dance Festival and mask/character work
- See how it was made and learn the Rep.
- Gain insight into what NZSD is all about with our Q&A.
- Includes one ticket to the NZSD Dance Film night on Wednesday, 11 September.
