Tools for Teachers: Dance Educators Seminar

NZSD is pleased to offer you our first Tools for Teachers Seminar to be held over two sessions.  This   non syllabus-based seminar is open to dance educators from all teaching backgrounds and affiliations.

Presented  by two of New Zealand’s foremost dance teachers: Sarah Fitzsimons and Turid Revfeim, who will share specific methods they use in class with thier own students, along with simple strengthening and aligning exercises that you can apply to your teaching immediately.

What you can expect:

  • Explore current teaching methodologies that are easily applicable across a broad range of ages and disciplines
  • Learn how to integrate biomechanically sound movement patterns in your classes
  • Special focus on spinal mobility, upper body strength for ports de bras, lower leg alignment and turnout
