The New Zealand School of Dance is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading dance training institutions, preparing students for professional careers in classical ballet and contemporary dance. We are seeking a creative, innovative and inspirational full-time Classical Ballet Tutor with a real passion for their area of expertise and a genuine interest in the young people in their care. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Summary of the Role
You will specialise in teaching Classical Ballet, Pas de Deux, Variations and Repertoire to male students on the School’s full-time tertiary courses. You will be expected to assist with performance-related activities and contribute to the annual Winter School, Summer Intensive and other scheduled events throughout the year.
You will play a major role in the technical training, educational and pastoral care of the students at the School. We are looking for someone with a strong performance background, who can take up this exciting opportunity and thrive in a demanding teaching role. You must be able to work well as part of a team and deliver excellent classical ballet training.
