SEEKING A SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR

The New Zealand School of Dance is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading dance training institutions, preparing students for professional careers in classical ballet and contemporary dance. We currently have a total of 104 domestic and international students. We are seeking an experienced administrator for our School office. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Wellington.

Summary of the Role

The New Zealand School of Dance is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading dance training institutions, preparing students for professional careers in classical ballet and contemporary dance.

The School Administrator is responsible for maintaining student records, liaising with government agencies (NZQA, TEC, Ministry of Education), maintaining programme regulations and managing audition applications, enrolment and graduation procedures.


Essential Skills and Experience

Our ideal candidate is an organised and energetic person with great communication and interpersonal skills. You will have an ability to manage a range of organisational tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

Experience of working in an educational environment, and/or a keen interest in dance or the performing arts would be an advantage.

We expect that you will be able to work with minimal supervision, and to manage a workload that may include several tasks of varying priorities. A good grasp of computer skills are essential. On rare occasions you may be requested to assist in events which require weekend work.
